The mission of the IHGEF Advisory Board is to provide expertise and counsel in the areas of business development and philanthropy, enabling the foundation to grow and expand its capability to provide financial support to those passionate individuals who aspire to a career in healthcare.
Harvey Hershkowitz has a notable track record serving on numerous boards, spring-boarding start-ups, raising capital and positioning corporations into the global market. He has successfully spearheaded companies in information technology, business, residential and commercial development, healthcare, and pharmaceutical and healthcare construction.
He has more than 30 years in the healthcare industry including consulting, information technology, software, sales, professional services, management, building and development. He has also served on numerous boards and advisory groups within the healthcare industry. Harvey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administratio
Ron Mirenda has more than 40 years of executive leadership, fund-raising and strategic-planning experience. During his career, Ron has managed or played significant roles in campaigns whose combined goals approached $850 million, including the $180 million campaign to build the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center of the National Air and Space Museum at Dulles Airport.
Recognizing the critical importance of board leadership, he has spent an intensive amount of time and research into acquiring, understanding and sharing the best practices of nonprofit board leadership, and is one of a small group of individuals nationally who is a Certified Non-Profit Board Training Consultant by Board Source, Washington, DC.
IHGEF is made up of an experienced leadership team committed to enhancing the lives of aspiring medical professionals and ensuring that scholarships are provided to qualified candidates that are passionate about joining the medical field and providing excellent care to their patients.
Tiffany Kaita graduated from SDSU with BFA. Worked in different startup companies in fashion industries and played a key role in growing different companies. Her passion for the arts and business led her to establish International Health Group Inc, a career college. IHG successfully pioneered an accelerated Certified Nurse Assistant course (2006) and the accelerated Medical Assistant course (2015).
IHG has been providing quality education for over 13 years. Her goal is to produce caring, capable individuals in the healthcare field to support our community. As a cancer survivor, she understands the importance of every healthcare professional touching our lives. Addressing a growing elderly population as well as people with illnesses, through IHG Education Foundation, she hopes to make a positive impact locally and internationally.
Casey Na, an enteprenuer, has helped start many companies in varied industries. As a partner, he helped to establish International Health Group in 2006. IHG boasts over 6000 graduates and is growing to meet the demand of healthcare professionals. As the marketing director for IHG, he has worked closely with local non-profit groups including MAAC, Lifeline and IRC. Currently, he is working with Nile Sisters, New Neighbor Relief organization and local charter high schools in producing qualified candidates to support current healthcare staffing needs in our community.
After earning her BBA from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, she immediately went to work in her family’s real estate development company. As a representative of the family business, she attended numerous fundraisers for non-profits in Honolulu. Before long she found herself volunteering at different events and eventually took the position of Development and Membership Coordinator for the YWCA of Oahu where she stayed until her move to San Diego.
